Standard Jewel Case
A standard sort of case - the thing that most of
your bought CD's will be in. Comes with a black or clear tray.
The artwork is in two parts: 1 - the booklet that is a square cover with usually a number of other pages, typically
forming a 2, 4, 8 or 12 page booklet. 2 - the tray insert that sits
below the tray and is the bit that you see when you turn the case over. It
also has the spines on the edges of the CD's. If you are using a clear
tray, then the tray insert will usually be printed on both sides to put an
image behind the CD in the case. |
 |
Jewel Case end - 6 whole
millimeters deep, plenty of space for your logo and title. |
 |
Slimline or Demo Case
A thinner style of case that accepts the same size
booklet as the standard Jewel case. However, it has a plain black back that
does not accept any printing and there is no usable spine. Often used with
no inlay as it shows off the CD well. |
 |
Slimline end - these
babies are thin. No room for a spine at all. |
 |
Maxi Case
Popular for CD singles. This has a rectangular
shape that requires a J-Card insert. This has a rectangular front, 3mm
spine (so tiny text) and a small back of 15mm, suitable mainly for a
tracklist or contact info. There is a printed inside that tucks in behind the CD
that is smaller than the front. If you are producing artwork for this case
please use our template
as it is easy to make
mistakes with this style of artwork. Then it doesn't fit, and it won't
look pretty.

 |
Maxi Case end - as you can see, it's pretty
thin, 60% acrylic, 40% space for your spine.

PVC Wallet
The slimmest solution. Good for posting. These
will accept a 2 or 4 page inlay with the CD placed inside. |
 |
Cardboard Wallet
A bit
tight to squeeze an inlay into, not that you could see it. We cannot print
on them, but some people do take them away and screenprint them. Artrocker
fer instance, and they look brill. Other folks put all manner of stickers on them. We have no
standard sticker available but will happily discuss possibilities. |
